The 1179 family features a classic domed lens, perfect for classic restoration and hot-rod vehicles. The prismatic glass lens does not oxidize, become hazy, or accumulate film like plastic lenses. The added lead enhances the glass strength. The prismatic lens provides superior photometric light distribution. The four-time finished vacuum metalized steel reflectors improve reflection by 4 to 1 compared to stock. The bulb assembly is protected by a high-density silicone rubber boot with venting to guard against dirt and moisture.
